As different types of live streaming become more readily available, it’s hard to determine what exactly might be beneficial about incorporating them into your marketing plan. How could live video possibly be good for my business or brand?

The reality is that live streaming is here to stay. As more platforms integrate video – Snapchat, Instagram and now, Facebook – the easier it is to see that it serves an integral part in communications.

So how can it help your business, brand or blog?

Facebook Live allows users to interact with their audiences in real time. It shows you how many people are tuning in at any given time, allows you to answer questions from viewers as if they were in the room with you and makes both recorders and viewers feel as if they are in an intimate one-on-one setting.

Unlike Snapchat or Periscope, Facebook Live does not disappear after an allotted time. It stays put on your timeline, making it easy to reference or use at a later date and time.

Because Facebook Live is truly live recorded video with no editing, what you see is what you get. Mess ups might happen and mistakes may be made, but what your audience will get is complete transparency from your business or brand. The idea of edited perfection does not exist here!
