That’s right, folks. Somehow it’s already well into November, which means Veteran’s Day is here. Ready for a little history lesson?

Initially called Armistice Day, Veteran’s Day was founded as a holiday in 1918 to signal the end of World War I. In 1938, legislation was passed to make the holiday a day to honor World War I veterans. As WWII and the Korean War passed and more and more brave people served our country, “the 83rd U.S. Congress — at the urging of the veterans service organizations — amended the Act of 1938 by striking out the word “Armistice” and inserting the word “Veterans.” With the approval of this legislation on June 1, 1954, Nov. 11 became a day to honor American veterans of all wars.” (Military.com)

HONORING VETERAN’S DAY WITH OUR INFLUENCERS

It’s incredibly important that on Veteran’s Day, and every other day, we remember the incredible sacrifices many servicemen and women have made to keep our country safe. We’re proud to work with social influencers who have shared their own “hero stories” and thank-you notes to soldiers in partnership with brands, like Kleenex and Mars Chocolate, that are giving back to the armed forces.
